Launching Venture's Oasis Collection as One Cohesive Retail Set

Founded by Oladapo Onikuyide, Venture is a USA-based premium home fragrance brand crafting toxin-free candles and incense entirely by hand. With no prior packaging experience, their debut Oasis Collection required three entirely different structural solutions, each with its own dimensions, weight, and handling demands.

Challenges

The Oasis Collection had to launch with the visual coherence of a category veteran, the cost discipline of a first production run, and the integrity of a brand built on mindful craft. Three different problems, one production cycle.

  • Diverse products that need to be read as one family.
The Oasis Collection includes a hand-thrown porcelain candle, incense sticks, and a ceramic holder. Three products with distinctive shape, weight, and fragility. The packaging had to make them look like one set on the shelf despite diverse formats.
  • A first-run launch where every material choice carries weight.
With no supplier history, no volume to negotiate against, and no existing tooling to reuse, every material and finishing decision had to fit the launch envelope. It also had to honor a brand built on mindful, toxin-free craft, which meant packaging that produced excess waste would contradict everything the product stands for.
  • A debut collection with no in-house packaging expertise.
Every spec decision needed expert input and a way to validate it before tooling was committed. A misjudged foam fit, an off-shade foil, or a structural choice caught after production would have meant rework the launch could not absorb.

We’ve got the fragrances up in stores, and people are really loving how the packaging has turned out.

Solutions

The coherence problem was solved through finish, not structure. We engineered three distinct rigid box formats, each built for the dimensions, weight, and handling of its product: a partial cover telescope box for the porcelain candle, a drawer box for the incense sticks, and a lid and tray box for the ceramic holder. Every box wears the same eggshell-colored textured paper and the same gloss black foiled botanical artwork. Our meticulous color matching process held the palette identical across formats, so structurally different boxes read as one cohesive family.

For a launch with no historical leverage and limited budget, every choice makes a difference. Initially, the Venture team requested a 4-inch full-height EPE foam insert for the candle box to maximize protection. Keeping the client’s budget and sustainability in mind, our team recommended a smarter solution: an 1-inch foam insert that snugly supports the base of the candle. This approach still provided sufficient protection while avoiding unnecessary material waste. By making this change, we not only optimized costs but also aligned with Venture’s commitment to sustainability.

With the structural and material decisions locked, we worked through two full rounds of pre-production samples with Venture. The first round confirmed material feel, color match, and structural fit; the second validated the refinements against the actual candle, incense sticks, and ceramic holder in hand. Catching every adjustment at the sample stage rather than at mass production kept the launch on budget and on schedule, and gave Venture full confidence that what they greenlit was exactly what would arrive on retail shelves.

Result

The Oasis Collection landed on retail shelves as one coherent debut. Three structurally distinct boxes reading as a single family. Material and finishing choices optimized for budget. Premium presentation honoring the brand and the product inside the box. At PakFactory, we believe that when packaging is engineered for a brand specifically rather than adapted from a generic template, the difference shows from day one.
