How HRBLS Packaged Its Herbal Gummies to Match the Brand

HRBLS is the herbal gummy line from Pharmakon Supernatural, founded by herbalist Rachelle Robinnett to blend traditional herbalism with modern health science across three formulas for energy, digestion, and calm. A product built on natural, functional ingredients needed packaging as distinctive and considered as what was inside.

Challenges

For a functional wellness brand, the box has to live up to the care inside it, printing true to a distinctive palette, holding its shape, and keeping a food product safe. HRBLS came to PakFactory with its branding in hand and three things to get right.

  • Would the color print true on uncoated stock?
The retro, eclectic artwork depended on the brand colors reproducing accurately on the uncoated paper the team wanted.
  • Could the structure fit the branding and hold together?
The box had to suit the artwork and stay square once folded, not lift at the corners.
  • Would it be safe for gummies?
As a food product, the carton needed a food-safe interior surface.

Solutions

Because HRBLS had already nailed its branding with a designer, the first question was print quality. We ran a high-quality offset sample with swatches of the HRBLS brand colors, so Rachelle and her designer could see exactly how the ink sat on the uncoated stock before committing. Once the output looked right, the design could move ahead with confidence.

From there, we worked through the structure across several sampling rounds, tailoring the die-cut placement so the artwork landed exactly where it should once the box was assembled. When a sample showed the corners lifting after folding, the team solved it by adding a discreet double-sided tape hold, so the finished box stays square and clean.

The final box is an uncoated folding carton with a food-safe coating on the interior, so it keeps the natural, tactile look HRBLS wanted on the outside while safely holding the herbal gummies within.

Result

Rachelle and her team were thrilled with the first run, and so were their customers, who loved the packaging as much as the gummies. The distinctive structure and eclectic, retro artwork captured the brand as well as the product, and HRBLS has reordered since, with PakFactory continuing to support the line as it grows.
